Phew! Its been quite a week...the remnants of Hurricane Gustav have been passing over us for the last couple of days, making our usually ludicrously sunny Oklahoma feel more like England than ever before! Its actually been quite a nice respite from the temperatures which can hit us this time of year.
I have taken this opportunity to make up my very first little collection of quilts, to be offered for sale in a Holiday Boutique that I am due to take part in next month.
I decided to concentrate on Snuggle Quilts, sized 36" squared, perfect for babes snuggling in a car seat, a stroller or just on the sofa. Each quilt has a super soft minky backing, making it extra cozy. I also added minky appliques to each of the front of the quilts:
The Swan Snuggler is a collection of some of my favourite pink prints ever! 3 different Heather Ross fabrics are mixed with Bubble blast and prints from the Carnaby line.
I used the softest white minky on the back along with a matching swan applique on the front.
This quilt utilises the same pattern as the swan quilt
The backing is a soft green minky dot fabric...
and I finished it with a minky caterpillar on the front - complete with felt features and little feet!
The Lamb Snuggler Quilt is a mix of green fabrics along with a few Amy Butler Prints thrown in
It is backed with a super soft minky heart fabric, which I just fell in love with!
and I added the white lamb applique to finish it off.
The final quilt is a little different - a different design with a very special backing fabric:
The backing is a beautiful and soft knit floral print, making it extra feminine...
I am pleased with the way each of the quilts has evolved and I am hugely excited to be offering them in the Wonderland Boutique next month!
