Have listened to this song so many times today! Its got to be the most upbeat and happiest tune...ever!
I dare you to listen to it and not smile!
Seeing them sing it live when we were back in England was pretty cool - it made me all emotional!!
I must admit, I do think about the Morrisons commercial with Robert Linsay every time I hear it also - think I watched too much TV when I was back home in the summer!
Eeek! - I am excited to finally upload even just a little of the bits and pieces I have been working on for a while now.
Firstly - the new (beautifully illustrated) header, which just makes me grin - was drawn by a very talented lady - Dionne to help me move on to a new era of blogging! I have spent the past few months trying to find the balance of what this blog is all about - something that started off as a way to keep in touch with family overseas and show my mama what I had been crafting, has now spawned the new opportunities of sewing and creating for others.
I would like to introduce you to Noah and Furgus:
On Thursday night and the early hours of Friday morning, I got to experience a moment which I will never forget.
I was blessed to be at the birth of my Sweet Friend - Kate (and Adam's!) third child - a peaceful, joyous and completely natural birth, that I was completely blown-away by.
Kate's strength, determination and peace combined with the support, encouragement (and humor) of Adam filled the evening with laughter and tears of amazement.
Thank you Guys, you are both wonderful and your sweet babe, she is amazing! x
We actually had a visitor in the house before the mantis (that I forgot to add pickies of) that the kiddies went crazy over:
Namely: Dude Crush (named by Joshy)
We were all very taken with Dude as he crossed our path and would love for him to stay close to our garden so that we could see him again - i'm afraid he has other ideas though...
Jasper brought a new friend to meet the family:
Mr Praying Mantis:
He was a pretty curious fella:
who didn't takes his eyes off the camera:
and who seemed pretty ready to show us his specialist skills:
We set him free (completely unharmed) with just some photographic evidence to show the kiddies in the morning, they have a great love forMantis of the Kung Fu variety!
There is a special little Lady's Birthday coming up in England, so I have been desperately trying to finish off a special little lady just for her....
She has beautiful curly brown hair, just like the Birthday Girl does...
She is travelling with her suitcase and bestest cashmere coat...
and has even put her new pink maryjanes on for the occassion...
Her babydoll Jemima, will be accompanying her...
Along with her favourite pink quilt...
She is looking forward to her new home...
