This week most of my time has to be devoted to 3 rather large and rather involved teachers gifts. I have a 2 week deadline looming to get all three pieced, embroidered, basted, quilted and bound. This will be the third year I make these quilts as gifts from the class for our teachers. Each year I vow to never do it again and then each year we have such phenomenal teachers I realise that I can't not do it!
Quilts from Year One
Quilts from Year Two
This Year (underway)
This year, all three teachers will be getting Hungry Caterpillar quilts with the children's hands and names hand-embroidered around the edge. It seems that everywhere I go right now, a quilt is brought along for the ride, in the hopes I may be able to stitch just one more hand in the car pool, or one more hand whilst the kids are doing karate..
I will keep on plugging away probably right up until the last minute, to make sure they are finished and gifted on time.
