When I started cleaning out the playroom a few weeks ago, ready for it to be painted, I came across A LOT of fabric that I had forgotten I had (the playroom also houses my fabric collection) Mr B suggested that I needed to sort through it and donate some, which sounded like a good idea apart from the fact that every piece of fabric I have, has been bought with a specific project or person in mind.
Many of the fabrics I have bought for the kids over the past couple of years, would now be too 'young' for them, but perfect for smaller children. So I started looking for a charity that I could sew for, one that would allow me to use all of this lovely fabric and create for children who did need something.
I found ConKerr Cancer 'a charity with a simple, clear mission To make life brighter for children with life changing illnesses and injuries.'
The pillowcase directions are simple and clear and this would be a wonderful project for beginners to learn to sew.
Today I will work on getting some boy pillowcases sewn up!
