You could save an orphaned childs life, become a lifeline for them, show them that even though they have never met you, there are people far far away who do care.
Uganda doesn't have a 'public system' that kicks in if parents die. It is common for nobody to even notice that there are small children left behind with nothing, regardless of their age.

We sew to make clothes for children who often have none and get the word out about sponsoring one of these sweet children.
Isn't it ironic that for the price of a weight watchers monthly pass, a child could be sponsored and a life saved...hugely ironic...
