Moments from around our home this Christmas season:
The elf - Billy, naughty right up until the end;
Kitties determined to get in on the action;
A quiet glass of wine on Christmas Eve, watching 2 very excited children;
Enjoying 'Elf' and 'A Christmas Story' with the family;
Homemade mince pies, left out for Santa
The kiddies got their hearts desires. Maddy - her Barbie dreamhouse, Josh, his Jabba the Hut Lego set.
Christmas dinner was feast of beef with all the trimmings, including 18th century chestnut stuffing, parmesan parsnips, Delia's sprouts and we have yet to eat Heston Blumenthal's Christmas pudding (tonight perhaps!)
New recipes tried (and loved) over the Holiday season were Good Food's Mince Pies (amazing!!) and 12 day spiced beef (recipe below) and the always wonderful sausage rolls ala Mr B.
It has been a wonderful few days and tonight, we will work our way through a new batch of mulled wine and test the Christmas pud...perfect.
