As the snow falls outside for the second time in three days, I ventured out to take some photos of this little beauty:
Last year, I headed up a mystery quilt at my local Modern Quilt guild (pattern here) A clue was given each moth to the participants - without them know what the final quilt would look like until the very end.
It was a lot of fun and a great way to try out something new. I had never worked with batiks before, so I decided to step out of my comfort zone and give it a go.
She is a nice size - 58" x 78" Perfect for snuggling under on these cold Oklahoma days.
The quilt top itself has been finished since August, but I stalled because of my dislike of basting quilts to get them ready for quilting. I am still searching for a method that works for me with basting larger quilts.
All in all I am very happy with the outcome of this project!
